Cost Consulting

Every project starts off with a detailed estimate and a robust MOC process that documents all changes that deviate from the original estimate
- Development of the MOC process
- Integration of the MOC process into the cost reporting
- Definition of MOC’s and how they will impact the project EAC and Budget. These will drive Earned Value metrics so these need to be configured properly
- Provide training of MOC process to team members and new hires

Change Management

KBK Solutions is experienced in implementing many of the industry standard Cost Management systems and will work with each client to determine which tool is best suited to their needs
- Experienced with the big 3 PRISM, EcoSys, PIMS
- KBK Solutions have Subject Matter Experts (SME) in each of these tools and can administer them
- We work with the vendor should the client have any needs that aren’t supported by the tool

System Implementations

KBK Solutions will work with the client to identify potential opportunities for System Integrations which can eliminate double data entry and reduce potential errors
- Typical integrations that can help include:
- Linking the schedule up with cost
- Pulling actuals and commitments from the financial system such as SAP
- Linking the MOC process if it’s external from the cost tool
- Pulling in project risks
- Automating the booking of accruals in the financial system

System Integrations

KBK Solutions has had great success with utilizing Business Intelligence tools to enhance project reporting
- Experienced with several different tools such as PowerBI, Spotfire, Qlik Sense and Tableau. We will utilize the tool of choice that your organization uses
- These tools can be linked up directly to cost tools
- Reporting can be project specific or Enterprise wide
- Another benefit of the BI tools is that they can pull data from multiple source systems. So if you do not currently have any system integrations this BI reporting can still pull all your data together
- If the organization decides to change one of the source systems in the future it’s fairly easy to swap it out and continue on with your reporting with minimal impact

Business Intelligence Reporting

Rolling up project reporting is useful when reviewing the organizations overall health.
- Enterprise reporting allows an organization to group and categorize their projects.
- This could include groupings by business unit, by country, by region etc
- These reports can be drilled down to project details or set at a higher level
